PennReach is an authorized vendor through DCF and Medicaid to provide respite services to children and adults in the state of NJ.
PennReach supports families and their children through a program of self-hire respite. The unique aspect of the program is that the family can hire a family member, friend or neighbor that already knows their child. The parent can also be hired to work for their own child as desired. If that is not the preference, PennReach will hire employees for the family. The goal of the self-hire respite program is to allow parents to have support through PennReach when they need it the most. All services provided through this program start with the employee arriving at the child’s home. Together with the family, a child’s care plan is developed based on the child’s needs and parents desires; detailing a calendar of events to be implemented by the assigned caregiver on shift during that time. PennReach can provide services directly within the home or can take children on outings to help with socialization.
